Has the Sabbath Day changed in most cases Christianity has used the Holy Apostles and Saints meeting on Sunday to justify Sunday service. 

 

In today's churches it is taught by pastors that the Lord's Sabbath is on Sunday and that we no longer have to observe it as the Holy Scriptures has commanded us. 

 

Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant and thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that's within thy gates, that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week (Sunday), came Mary Mag'dalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 

When does the Sabbath began?

The Sabbath began sundown Friday until sundown Saturday making one complete day.

Nehemiah 13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of of Jerusalem BEGAN TO BE DARK before the Sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should be no burden be brought in on the Sabbath day.

What does it mean to turn thy foot away from the sabbath?

How do we do our own pleasures on the sabbath? 

 Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 

When we turn thy foot from the Sabbath and do our own pleasure we are sinning against The Most High and the commandments given.

​Cooking on the Sabbath

Exodus 35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day.

Exodus16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Numbers 15:32-35 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the Sabbath day.

33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

34 And they put him in ward,  because it was not declared what should be done to him.

35 And the Lord said unto Moses,  The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. 

This brother was put to death not for gathering sticks but because The Most High knew his heart, he knew the brother gathered sticks with the intent to kindle a fire for cooking.

No Buying and Selling

During the Sabbath day we are NOT to do no buying or selling. Buying and selling on the Sabbath also goes into doing thy own pleasure.

Nehemiah 10:31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the Sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the Sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. We read also in 

Amos 8:5. Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

No working on the sabbath.

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.

Exodus 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day there shall be unto you an holy day, a Sabbath of rest unto the Lord: whosoever doth work therein shall be put to death.

It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

Matthew 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to good on the Sabbath days.

In this verse Christ gives us the understanding that there will be times that issues and emergencies will come up during Sabbath days and that they must be taken care of (UNWILLING) and that's considered doing good on the Sabbath. Which furthermore shows its about escaping willful Sins 

The Sabbath is a sign between The Most High and the Children of Israel. 

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
